We are asked here to embrace pain as a friend, or more like a teacher. For example, when we experience pain we have arrived at a limitation, here we can expose the limitation and work with it. To embark knowingly on a path that may bring discomfort and challenge before producing the benefits.
Our worth is inherent in our existence. This is my favorite mantra, and it feels especially poignant as we jump into 2019. To deepen our understanding and pleasure of that existence is up to us. "The cross over between dyeing cloth with plants and using botanicals as colorants in cosmetics is so exciting! For example, the red in the soap below was made with madder which is a traditional textile dye. It’s incredible!"

Nettle is often considered a weed but don’t overlook it as one of the most nutrient rich plants in the world! Type 8 in the Enneagram is called the Director, who tends to be bossy, in charge and strong in willpower. They tend to speak up, act on instinct and like things direct. Indirectness, roundabout statements and hinting can drive them crazy.
