Perennial Link Love - August 17th

We are skyrocketing through to the end of the summer! August is always bittersweet, with some of the most beautiful twilight sunsets and stolen moments of forestbathing, maybe early morning hikes or outdoors time with friends and family.

At the same time, it's easy to drift into the sense of urgency and excitement that fall brings with it -- for many, autumn means harvest season, the start of school and renewed energy at work.

A few things that we are loving this week from all corners of the web...

  • A beautiful nature illustration (among many!) by artist Diana Sudyka
  • The gorgeous selection of home goods and apothecary items from Midland (in Culver City, but also online)
  • If you haven't had a chance to check it out, the Good Trade newsletter curates awesome content and recently posted several podcasts that they recommend for more 'conscious and sustainable' living. Read more about them here.
  • A tea company local to Santa Barbara area, Mizuba offers high-grade matcha, as well as one-of-a-kind handmade chawan (literally 'tea bowl' in translation) used in traditional East Asian tea ceremonies. Their selection is beautiful, and very unique.

Be sure to take time to enjoy the last few beautiful days of summer -- breathe, read, spend what time you can outside and in the air as the wind begins to shift and days grow increasingly shorter. Change is good, and natural, and we are grateful that a new season is nearly upon us -- 'full of things that have never been,' as the poet Rainer Maria Rilke writes.
